A decent powerwasher
This is a pretty decent powerwasher for the price. It is a little difficult to start and usually requires quite a few pulls. It provides good pressure and seems fairly well made, especially for the price.

Questions & Answers
Question : Craftsman Gas Power washer, hose is dry rotted;?
I have a Craftsman Gas Power Washer 2250 psi, model number 580-768030, can anyone tell me the "special tool" used to disconnect the wand hose from the pump housing. My hose is dry rotted, need to replace, however, can't get the the connector disconnected from the pump housing.
Answer:
Is it a quick connect connection? Where there is a brass sleeve that you pull back and the connection pops apart.
It could have lime deposits making it stick. Try a pilers to wiggle it back and forth and spin the sleeve around.

Question : Oil in the gas tank of our power washer by mistake? What can flush the oil out?
By mistake and excitement oil was put in the gas tank of the new power washer we bought...How can it be flushed out??
We emptied the tank and washed it out with a dry cloth best we could...All info and help would be appreciated..
Right now we have gas in the gas tank but it coughs and pops and sputters like the Absent minded professors old car....hehehe
Thanks for the suggestions for how and what to flush this out with.... 8-)
Answer:
You mostly already have. Now remove by siphoning (or some other way) the contaminated gasoline, and refill with fresh gasoline. That should burn a lot better, but use it all the way down to empty, where it actually runs completely out of gas and stops on it's own. From then on, everything should be normal..... normal..... normal.

Question : Is it ok to run a Craftsman gas powered pressure washer in the rain?
Just bought a Craftsman pressure washer. Gas powered. Briggs & Stratton engine. I believe it's a 190cc. Using it on a huge fence and deck. Forecast is for rain for the next few days. Really want to get the job done. Rain doesn't bother me, but is it bad for the motor?
Answer:
The heat produced from the device running is enough to evaporate any moisture it comes in contact with, ie, light rain storm, inadvertant spray.

Question : How do you switch from gas to electric in your home?
I am buying a home and it has a gas stove and gas powered washer/dryer. All of the appliances I would be bringing with me are electric. Do you have to get someone to re-wire the house? Or is there another way to do this?
Answer:
I assume you are concerned about just your appliances, not fixtures in the house like the furnace or water heater.
If the proper outlets are already on the wall, then all you have to do is plug the electric appliances in (and of course cap off the gas lines). No big deal. Many appliance retailer / installers can do this for you. If the proper outlets are not on the wall, then you will have to call an electrician.
Most houses I've seen that have both gas and electric service are set up for both gas and electric appliances so a consumer can easily use either.
I hope this helps. Please return and select a Best Answer from all of those submitted.

Question : Lots of gas in the oil resevior of Honda power washer???
I have a power washer with an 11hp honda OHV motor that recently broke down. It would run for a few seconds and blow a ton of smoke then stall. It wouldnt start again for about an hour and the same thing would happen. I started working on it and found that oil was coming out of the crankase breather hose back into the airbox...lots of oil. When I drained the oil I realized that there was a ton of gas in the oil..seemed like it was 40% gas. Any ideas how gas could be getting into the oil resevoir?
Thanks!
Answer:
Youre lucky you didnt blow the motor up. When gas overflows the carb and finds it way into the oil - it thins it out enough to where the oil wont lubricate anymore and ruin the berings.
The gas is overflowing the float bowl - number of things causing this? Dirty carb, bad float. Id remove and clean the carb thouroughly - all the lil pinholes - everything. Check to see if the float has been saturated with gas ( due to a pinhole- it happens) . The fuel needle seat could have dirt in it. The reason why it pushed it all out thru the breather is it didnt have anywhere else to go , when it overflowed it overfilled the oil and spit it out thru the breather.

Question : Gas powered pressure washer dies when pressure is turned on?
It runs fine, but whenever you turn the pressure on to wash, it dies. WTF is wrong with it?
Where's that and how do I un-stick it!?
Yeah, I thought about that but it's a Sears brand washer. Wal Mart doesn't sell them.
Answer:
Sounds like a lack of pressure built up in the pump. Let the unit run for a while before you pull the trigger on the gun.
